New Marketing Director |
|

|
 We are pleased to announce the addition of Deron Austin to the Metal Systems team as Marketing Director. In this position Deron will be working directly for Jerry Driscoll and be part of the MSI Executive Management Team. Deron has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, and is a Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee. In addition to his extensive engineering background and experience, Deron has spent nearly 15 years in Sales and Marketing with Propex in Chattanooga. Deron, his wife Lesley, and 3 boys reside in Ooltewah, TN. We look forward to Deron helping move us forward with new markets, customers, and products. Initially he will be working with our existing customers to better understand our business and their needs. This will allow him to identify new opportunities we have to better serve our existing customers. Other areas that he will be developing in the future are technical articles, webinars, advertising, brochures, videos, and web development. He started on Monday, June 9th, and will work primarily out of the Chattanooga office.

New Vice President and General Manager of the Houston Operation |

 Tom Laursen has joined MSI Equipment Centers as the Vice President and General Manager of the Houston operation. We have been looking for some time to fill this open position. We have been very selective in choosing someone. We believe Tom has the background, breadth of experience, and management knowledge to facilitate our continued growth in the Houston facility. In addition to his broad executive level experience he has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, in Brooklyn, NY, and an MBA from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to his most recent employment as a Business Consultant, Tom was the Vice President of Manufacturing for Tube Specialties in Statesville, NC. His previous experience also includes VP of Manufacturing for CTA Acoustics, and President & CEO for Vitafoam Incorporated. Tom has over 25 years experience in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations Management. Tom and his family are relocating from Cornelius, NC to the Houston area.

New Vice President of Finance and Information Systems |

|
 Keith Bucher has joined Metal Systems as Vice President of Finance and Information Systems. As the company grows we continue to have a greater need for analysis of financial data and shared information to key departmental functions. Keith will be tasked with developing this increased financial information for use by key management plus have the time to better analyze areas where we can improve. All the financial and information system personnel will report to Keith. Keith has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Illinois State University and an MBA from Bradley University. Keith most recently served as Controller for U.S. Operations with Union Pump Company in Battle Creek, MI, and has 20 years experience in the Accounting and Finance area. Keith and his wife, Malia, are relocating to the Chattanooga area.

Metal Systems proudly announces it's Guard Center addition to the Operator Center product line. Designed for protection of personnel and control equipment in outdoor, harsh, and/or high noise level environments. Guard's view of the surrounding area is maintained by various window configurations.
